Spatial Distribution of Road Accidents:

According to a recent analysis published by the Government of India, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for the year 2021, road accidents exhibit distinct spatial trends. Surprisingly, rural areas account for a significant majority of road accident fatalities, with about 69 percent of deaths occurring in these regions, despite urban areas experiencing higher population density and vehicular traffic.
