I believe that taking help is pretty much okay because students are often under stress and already facing other issues like stage fright and impostor syndrome. To reduce their burden, it’s completely okay for them to ask for help.
I am a magento developer and I got my first job in this field as an engineer in a reputed firm with a very strong cv and a cover letter. so I think it is legal to take help from outside in building a cv or a resume that will help you get a job.
