  1. Gabapentin 300mg is an excellent remedy for the treatment of conditions such as migraines, fibromyalgia, restless legs syndrome, and insomnia.  It was initially formulated to treat epilepsy so it is an anticonvulsant property but it is used to treat other conditions which involve nerve impairment.  It can also be taken by people who find it difficult to fall and remain asleep.

Nerve pain is often experienced as a sharp shooting or stabbing pain and arises when the nerves are damaged or if there are physiological issues in the central nervous system.  Gabapentin 300mg blocks the transmission of messages that travel between the damaged nerves and the brain, reducing the sensations of pain and discomfort and enabling the patient to sleep if taken at night.

Gabapentin for pain is also used in the following circumstances:

    • It treats anxiety disorders such as generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), social anxiety disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) enabling the patient to feel calmer and more relaxed
    • It helps to relieve sciatica and diabetic peripheral neuropathy
    • It calms the symptoms of restless legs syndrome and enables the patient to sleep deeply

In a study undertaken to establish the efficacy of gabapentin 300mg, it was found that patients who took the medication experienced a significant reduction in their levels of pain and they were able to sleep better and more restfully.
