The survey by the International Labour Organization (ILO), has stated that the rate of
unemployment will surge from 18.6 million in 2018 to 18.6 million in 2019. This indicates no respite
in the coming future as well.
Lacking in infrastructure, research and development are also neglected to a very large extent and
thus, making other countries more lucrative than India, leading to the situation of brain drain.
The enormous disparity in government schemes and their implementation speaks volumes about

Inequitable distribution of land is another factor in unemployment since a large chunk of India is
dependent on agriculture.
