In order to become a veterinary technician, you’ll need an Associate’s degree in the field. But if the training program you took part in doesn’t meet the requirements set by the American Veterinary Medical Association, your Associate’s degree is very likely going to be deemed worthless. Or you’ll need to take extra classes in order to fill the gaps in your curriculum before you can take their license exam.
