    The main difference between a single ferrule and a double ferrule is their ability to provide a better seal. Single ferrules are used in systems which require higher pressure seals, where many types of fluid media can be handled without air or material leakage. Double ferrules compress two tube surfaces against each other with greater force than the single ferrule does provide for multiple redundant seals offering greater safety as compared to using a single ferrule by itself.
